As I explained in my prior post Why I Hate Toyotas, I have very little practical experience with the mechanics of Toyotas. But new information on the “million miles reliability” of the legendary 22r has come to my attention. I was told the older Toyota engines had; head, head gasket, timing chain, timing chain cover, and oil pump issues. Well marketing one freedom zero. That’s right except for potentially catastrophic engine failure with regular use they are the most reliable. No thanks I will just stay with my Ford. New cars are boring, and they all look the same. Fix something old.
