Several steps closer to opening for business. My application for an ARD (Automotive Repair Dealer) license in the great state of California is in the works. I will call the Hemet Fire Department tomorrow to schedule my fire inspection. When those two boxes are checked, I will need a business license from the City of Hemet and a sign permit to complete my legal obligations. Then update my website to include my store, get a business phone, better alarm, more insurance, and sign up for a card processing company. After that, fixing the cars will be the easy part. October 1st is my current grand opening, but stay tuned.

A few busy days at the shop with my constant companion, Big Green. I had a few parts-related delays, but the front of the engine is reassembled. Work continues on the Dana 60 as well. I had a couple of slow weeks due to some extra tasks at my day job, and this week I’m out sick. Called in sick for my square job, not for the shop because I am in tight with the owner. I am also the best employee. This week I will put the new spring shackles and bushings on the rear leaf springs, install my heater and radiator hoses, remove the pinion seal, and perform a final clean of the center section for paint on my Dana 60. I have a new camera to try out as well; I will link that to our YouTube channel next time if it goes well. I will leave you with a quote from Elon Musk.
