Unfortunately politicians are in charge. Their job is to stay in charge. To do that they need votes and supporters. More is better. So truthfully Governor Gavin Newsome isn’t a Bond villain just good at what he does. Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco are the major population centers of California. Populated with people easily alarmed, easily herded and called to violence, without a good moral compass. Proof of my wild claim? Google, riots and looting see what you get. What happened during Covid is a prime example.

The end of the world isn’t a new idea either. Again simple people with a chicken little syndrome. Y2K, 1984, the Mayan calendar. So these politicians need more people to vote for them and rally. My big question is who profits from the end? There you go. Tech companies, cobalt mine owners, battery manufacturers. That’s not new either. When was the last time gas prices were over $5.00 a gallon? Bush Jr the president Texas oil millionaire. Now it’s a little different. You have a President that’s trying to put them out of business.

Start with the obvious. There was an Ice Age, South Dakota was a lush jungle with T Rex hunting. Yosemite was carved by a glacier. Bakersfield was on the bottom of a great sea. Mammoth fossils were found at Diamond Valley Reservoir. Which is 20 minutes from my house. So when did the climate change? In 2007 because it was hot today at my house. It was never hot on this day since I’ve been here. The heat or cold records are a joke as well. We broke the record for the hottest day set in 1956. So where is the temperature record for 160 B.C.? I guarantee it was hotter or colder or rained more. And what happened in 1931 in Death Valley? Pre climate change?

Now we’ve decided the climate changes very drastically with or without us. Well about the boring non sexy thing? Trees.. Deforestation of the world doesn’t affect anything? Nope think again. Wait a minute trees and plants turn CO2 into O? CO2 is a green house gas! Not important. Why? All the places on earth cutting down trees Ferngully style are all crappy third world countries. Filled with economical victims so can’t stop that. Here at home landscaping is the arch nemesis of water saving. Drought people! We’re in a drought! It really isn’t the fact we have seven million people living where there was 700. It didn’t rain today. Government responsibility ends at finding more water. Wait water covers 2/3 of the planet. Write to Congress.

What does effect climate change? Pollution, not pollution in Russia, China, India or Indonesia. These are the biggest polluters and literally responsible for most of the world’s pollution. They can’t be told what to do. It’s lawnmowers in California that are the problem. Here are three real world examples. First Fontana Steel. Fontana Steel was the largest steel mill in the nation. But polluted. So what is an ecowarrior to do? Close it. The mill was purchased by a Chinese steel company, dismantled and moved to China. Now Fontana Steel and all its pollution is running in China. Probably a lot cleaner because the Chinese have an excellent record of taking care of mother nature. If I buy steel from Fontana Steel it comes out of the same mill. Gets put on a truck, then a ship back to another truck. One step closer to carbon neutral. Second D and R chrome in Carson California. Earlier this year California and its genuine concern for the environment banned the chemical in chrome that makes it chrome. The only spot on earth to ban chrome. If you need or want chrome? You can go to Ogden chrome up the highway in Utah. Or I imagine D and R chrome will close shop in Carson maybe keep a storefront and chrome in Nevada, Arizona or even Mexico. The Tijuana River is so polluted the beaches in San Diego are closed when it rains. But Newsome gets Sierra club points and the evil menace of chrome is destroyed. Well moved four hours up the highway. Lastly the Salton Sea. Mining operations for lithium are starting. With the State of California’s climate change blessing. Poisonous lithium is going to be more valuable than gold when every mechanical device big or small in America is battery powered. Who will make money off that? Will it be bad for the Salton Sea? The company says no. Wow didn’t see that coming. Ask the government or Google who profits from it. Pollution is fine just as long as I don’t see it.

Finally reality. The ocean is going to rise ten feet. The entire world doesn’t care. Just left wing politicians in a handful of first world countries running on an environmentalist socialist platform. Now San Diego will be under water in ten years. Some of the most valuable real estate in the country lost. What is being done? Nothing, I can buy a house in San Diego today with a 30 year loan. Wells Fargo is just going to throw 900 thousand in the trash with 1.1 million in interest. That’s how they are staying in business. Wake up a little. New cars are still boring. Fix something old. Don’t fall for scams.
